she couldn't have asked for a more perfectly sunny day to have a backyard birthday celebration with the family. Erika's 21st birthday was definitely a monumental moment for all of us. She, for finally feeling free and liberated, now able to use her own name when making her way past the bar's doorman, and for us, pretty much just feeling really old. One thing that will never get old however, the warm color pallet she chose. Consisting of eggplant, forrest green, and theres nothing more natural than cognac leather, it was all very summer chic. I also think this outfit was waiting forever for this day because it could not have fit the occasion better. It's mature in its pencil fitting skirt and button down collared blouse, yet still fun and flirty because of the missing sleeves on the blouse, a fedora, and a chain statement necklace. Life is now her runway and she is ready to strut her stuff.
