time in color

ice watch

I love this collection, the “Sili Forever” collection from Ice-Watch. designed to be an accessory as well as a watch - dual purpose, love it - this 10 color signature line is the foundation of the Ice-Watch brand. I went with a royal blue since I seem to be craving lots of it these days, but I think it's the perfect pop of color to my all black ensemble, don't you think? see how I styled it below!

how to: the perfect blow out

DSC_0040-1 DSC_0049-1 copy

1. Spray detangler throughout your hair and comb through.
*Do not brush your hair without detangler. Breakage is not our friend!

DSC_0075-1 DSC_0066-1

2.Next, I use a keratin protien cream that is heat activated. That way, my hair is actually being
repaired and conditioned while I am blow drying, leaving my hair with a smooth finish afterwards.
I have become minorly obsessed with products. They do make a difference and so I do use them!

3. Spray a volumnizing spray at the roots for extra umph!

4. Seperate your hair into two, even parts. Using a large,
round brush, start with blow drying the bottom half.

5. Invest in a great blow dryer. I swear by my José Eber Infrared Blow Dryer not only
because of it's quick drying, but because of its use of light instead of heat. My hair doesn't
feel fried when I'm done, and I have finally stopped hating blow drying my hair because of
how hot I get by the time I'm done!

6. Trick for extra volume and wave in the front: Roll your "bangs" back in your brush and blow dry
heavily for a minute or two, front and back. (My hair stylist Nadine from PR at Partners in
Tysons Corner taught me that one! Changed my life forever!)

7. Finish with some moroccan hair oil, running it through the mids to
ends of your hair with your fingers and voila; the perfect blow dry!

South Moon Under is our one-stop-shop. It's where we shop to find outfits for any occassion, day or night. So, easily, the theme for our lookbook was how to transform an outfit from day to night - from a day of shopping with your girl friends, to a night out in the city for dinner and dancing. With just a simple swap of shoes, jewelry, and a great statement piece (like a leather sleeved blazer) I transformed my look. My favorite part of the transformation though was how easily my Rebecca Minkoff Mini M.A.C. transformed from a crossbody to a clutch with their removable straps! I can't wait for you to see the full transformation this Thursday, December 6th, when we release the full video lookbook (eeee!). If you are in the area, we would love it if you came to hang with us at the South Moon Under in Clarendon to celebrate this awesome collaboration! We can't wait to hear what you think of it!
