I (finally) realized that the more go-to’s you have in your closet, the less you need, which is always a good thing. I am currently purging more than I ever have before, so I’m only leaving room for the go-to’s. I’ll be sure to keep you posted on how that goes. But I’ve always looked to American Eagle for simple, classic pieces that I know I can mix and match with the rest of my wardrobe (“go-to’s”) and I find that I still do.
I initially came to love American Eagle for their denim (it fit really well for a short, curvy girl), but I’ve fallen for much more at AEO over the years. Pieces like a cute embroidered top, like this one, are a great transitional piece for your daytime wardrobe and, hence, a popular go-to of mine. I’ve found tops like this work really well in fall, layered under jackets or sweaters with jeans and boots, but are also be adorable in the summertime with cut-off shorts and sandals.
