The weather is all confused here in DC, so I have no choice but to do things like layer. I used to do the weather for our local radio station (a what to wear for the weather of sorts), so I always knew what the weather was going to be like. But now, I keep finding myself caught in sweaters on sunny, 75-degree days, or even worse, not bringing a jacket and it's freezing out. So when I think of transitional in DC, this is what you get. Layered shirts, with jeans and a leather jacket. And open toe shoes are even still happening.
Speaking of, I'm loving the rolled up style of my denim from YMI Jeans - They're perfect to show off just enough ankle cleavage when I'm still wearing spring/summer heels. Ankle cleavage is crucial for 5'2" girls. Their real benefit of these jeans is that they make your butt look great, but I think they make your legs look great too.
YMI is all about fit and I love that. So if you're not in need of any ankle cleavage or you don't "WannaBettaButt" (their booty enhancing line), YMI has everything you need from slimming seams to hyper stretch fabric too.
