Cropped & Flared

To me, wearing denim is about more than casual dressing. I think it’s a staple in every woman’s wardrobe- More specifically, good denim. That’s why I’m constantly trying on denim, whether it’s in a dressing room at Nordstrom or at a street vendor on the Venice Beach board walk. I’m fully dedicated to finding the best denim for me and I’m excited to share a new favorite pair with you guys!

You may have noticed, but I rarely wear or buy skinny jeans anymore. I think that stopped the day I tried on my first pair of cropped flares. They just felt like they were made for me. I’m short so the cropped hem is basically free tailoring and the flare bottoms seem to offset my curvier hips and butt nicely.

So if you’re a fan of the cropped flare too, you’re going to love this new pair I got from French Connection. And, if you’re new to the cropped flare, I think this is a great pair to start with! The flare is pretty subtle and I think you’ll find that the vintage wash pairs well with almost anything, dressed up or down. I dressed them down a bit here with sneakers. I also took advantage of the higher waistline and tied up my blouse for a cropped look. In my opinion, high-waisted denim looks amazing on everyone, so I always gravitate towards it. It looks especially good on shorter girls because it makes your legs look nice and long!

Below, you’ll find a full description of this pair of jeans (according to me). And, I’ll be sharing a few other denim staples, just in time for fall, throughout the week. Be sure to check back in to see what’s next!
