Top 5 Favorite Foundations

Beauty Makeup

Confession: I rarely leave the house without foundation.   And, while I was looking at my make-up collection the other day, I realized that I currently have five go-to foundations that I alternate between (depending on the occasion and my mood).  Since I always love seeing what other girls are using, I thought I’d share them with you!

So let’s get right into it!  These are my honest reviews, in no particular order, and here they are:

1. Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation

I jumped on the bandwagon way later than I should have because the rumors are true.  Luminous Silk Foundation is a must-have and you’ll never fully understand until you try it for yourself.  But I’ll try my best to do it justice.  It’s a silky foundation that looks and feels weightless. But do you know what the best part is?  It still gives great coverage!  It’s super luminous, just like it’s name, and has a dewy finish.  It’s my go-to when I want my skin to really glow and look flawless, especially when prepping for important events.

SHOP: Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation (Shade: 5) $64

2. LANCÔME Teint Idole Ultra Longwear Foundation Stick

I love foundation sticks, in general, because of their easy application and ability to travel well.  I just started using this one by LANCÔME.  I like using it under my eyes and on trouble spots, or just anywhere that I want to look brighter.  It has a more full coverage and feels really nice to the touch.

SHOP: LANCÔME Teint Idole Ultra Longwear Foundation Stick (Shade: 320 Bisque) $42

3. Lune + Aster CC Cream/Tinted Moisturizer SPF 50+

This CC Cream has been a go-to of mine for a while now.  I love pretty much the entire line of Lune + Aster products, created by the Founder’s of Blue Mercury.  It leans towards a more medium to full coverage foundation, but you can still see your actual skin.  It also contains SPF 50, which is always an added bonus in any facial skincare product.

SHOP: Lune + Aster CC Cream/Tinted Moisturizer SPF 50+ (Shades: Fair & Light) $48

4. Diorskin Airflash Spray Foundation

I was really excited to try this foundation from the Diorskin line by Dior.  I had never used an airbrush or spray type foundation but the idea of it sounded really cool.  Now, I’m such a fan!  It’s so easy to apply, has great coverage, and I love the soft finish.

SHOP: Diorskin Airflash Spray Foundation (Shade: 300) $62

5. Laura Mercier Candleglow Soft Luminous Foundation

Having used the Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer for years prior to trying it, I decided to give the brand’s newest foundation a try.  Anything with the word “luminous” in it, right?  The coverage is very lightweight, but again gives good coverage while enhancing your skin’s natural complexion and glow.  Bonus: It’s super hydrating and moisturizing.

SHOP: Laura Mercier Candleglow Soft Luminous Foundation (Shade: Shell) $48

Overall, when it comes to foundations, I’m drawn to ones that are lightweight, still offer good coverage and even skin tones, and that are beneficial for your skin. If you have any good ones that you think I might like, please send them my way.

And if you like this kind of post, please let me know in the comments below.  I’m thinking I will round up my favorite highlighters next! 🙂
