Before I get into my recent obsession with western-inspired boots around here (Do you remember these I recently got in the mail? Dead.), I want to share another one of my favorite boot trends this season – Biker boots. What do I consider a “biker boot” exactly? Any chunky style boot that’s at least calf-height, made from leather and usually has a thick tread bottom. But, really, any edgier boot style will give you the same effect!
I think they’re going to be my most loved transitional piece for spring.
Of course, they’re so practical at keeping your feet and legs warm, while also being the most easy to walk in. But, more importantly, they add the perfect amount of edge to your outfits as you begin to incorporate more spring vibes. Consider biker boots, your pre-spring, spring vibes. I can’t wait to wear this with all my favorite floral pieces and maxi length skirts and dresses. I’ve always found that a combination of masculine and feminine in a look is très chic!
The chunky style of a thicker boot is so flattering on your legs.
Don’t they say… When you want to make something look smaller, make something else look bigger? That’s exactly what a chunky biker boots does for your legs, especially this pair specifically. A looser fit around the top and a chunky base will make your legs look super slim. I opted for leggings in this outfit, rather than denim, to really optimize the slimming effect. See what I mean?
Shop some of my favorite biker boots below, including these Easy Rider Boots, both in mid-calf and over-the-knee height, by Tamara Mellon. I just love her stuff! Check out my other favorite Tamara Mellon shoes in this blog post.
