What to invest in during this season’s Shopbop Sale.

Site wide sales can be a little overwhelming.  I know I struggle with where to start and, often, leave with nothing.  There’s nothing more that I hate than the feeling of a missed opportunity.  The Shopbop sale is one of my favorites, because they carry so many brands I love.  In an effort to help make shopping this season’s “Buy More, Save More” sale easy for the both of us, in today’s post I’m going to be breaking down the sale in terms of what I think would make the most sense to snatch up right now.  A new season is approaching and there are a few pieces and trends to note!

A FUNKY SNEAKER – The sneaker trend is one of my favorites.  Especially in the spring and summer, when I like to pair them with my favorite dresses.  In the warmer months, I’m much more active and on-the-go, so comfortable footwear is key.  This season, I’d encourage a colorful sneaker or something with platform for extra funk and height.  Shop all sneakers here.

GOOD DENIM – To me, there’s nothing more valuable in my closet than my denim.  Whenever I can utilize a big sale like this to check a new pair off of my wish list, I do it!  Shopbop carries my favorite denim brands like, A Gold E, Citizens of Humanity, Levi’s and Redone.

AN OCCASION DRESS – For this one, think something that you can wear and re-wear throughout life’s “busy season.”  I’d urge you to take some time to poke around the Dresses and find one that works for multiple occasions, that you can pack for fancier dinners on vacation, wear to that wedding you know you’re going to be invited to, or just pull out of your closet for a last minute, more formal “spring soiree” invite.

A CLASSIC (LOW) HEEL – Again, spring and summer is usually the time when I’m the busiest, so while style is super important to me, so is comfort.  I adopted the “kitten heel” into my wardrobe a long time ago and it was one of the best decisions ever.  They work for day and night and, honestly, look more chic than a super high heel anyways.

COLOR POPS – Color!  Color is everything to me these days.  Long gone are the days that I would suggest investing in neutrals over anything.  A colorful piece will actually serve you more purpose than you think.  Being that they’re bright, they’re more likely to stand out in your closet and thus you’ll find yourself reaching for them more.  Plus, color is just more fun!

SWIMWEAR – For obvious reasons (summer’s coming), use this as your opportunity to treat yourself to a new swimsuit this summer.  I wrote a whole post about how much the right swimwear has helped me feel more confident on the beach – Spend your money where it counts, ladies!  Shopbop carries my favorite brands like Solid & Striped and Karla Colletto.
