A few quick, weekend getaway ideas.

Travel

It’s not unlike us to skip town for the weekend.  Either we drop the pups off at grandma’s or load ’em up in the car with us and just go.  There are plenty of places that are no more than a hop, skip and a jump away that make for easy weekend escapes.  Below are just a few of places I’ve visited or stayed at recently and loved.  I’d encourage you to check them out when planning your next getaway because think you’ll love them too!  Happy Travels!

Eden Roc Miami

Miami Beach, Florida

Especially during the winter months, Miami is the easiest weekend getaway if you’re craving nothing but sunshine, tropical vibes, good food and drinks.  I recently stayed at the Eden Roc Miami Beach with my bestie, Cheralee (You can see more photos from our stay on my Instagram here!).  It was the perfect girl’s weekend away at this luxurious, ocean front resort.  The staff was so accommodating and the rooms were stunning and spacious.  I can’t wait to go back soon, one of my favorite restaurants, Mailbu Farm, just opened their newest location at the resort!

Getaway House

New York, Boston, or DC/Virginia

The Getaway House is a perfect getaway if you’re looking to just relax, disconnect from the world, and enjoy some time with Mother Nature.  The vibes are very similar to camping, except you have a bed and a kitchen, of course.  These tiny house getaways come equipped with everything you’ll need, so feel free to pack light.  You can read more about my stay here!

Luray Modern

Luray, Virginia

I can never say enough good things about Luray Modern.  There are actually two houses to choose from, the one pictured here, a brand new, mid-century modern house with stunning mountain views or an old, restored farmhouse.  Feel free to make yourself at home when staying here.  I love to invite my family when I go.  They each have something special and unique to offer and I guarantee you won’t find a better stay in the area.  You can read more about my visits to the Luray Modern houses here & here.

The Funky Loft

Brooklyn, New York

If you’re into aesthetics, you’ll love staying in this artsy, loft style apartment in Brooklyn!  It was a really affordable and fun place to stay when visiting NYC a few weeks ago with some friends.  The owner of the loft lives upstairs and there are 3 rooms for rent on the main level.  Visit TheFunkyLoft.com to learn more and book your stay but, hurry, it books up fast!
