I think it’s because I worked in bars in college, but I have been a drink snob ever since. Today, I embarrass Wes with my super specific margarita order, but I can’t help it. I know what I like! I also happen to think I know what tastes good. So if you love a deliciously crafted cocktail too, scroll below for my new favorite fall cocktail recipe! I think you’re going to love it as much as I do.
The holidays are such a fun time to try new recipes. I mean, it’s too cold to go outside, so might as well do homely things like that right? Plus, I’m usually in charge of making a cocktail at my family’s Christmas dinner party. I brought the same thing last year and I wanted to switch things up this year. I can’t believe it’s already November so I started searching for a new recipe well in advance and I think I found the one. So if you end up trying it, let me know what you think!
My drink of choice this summer was a spritz so in sticking with that theme I wanted something bubbly. I don’t love champagne though, and I know everyone in my family likes Moscow Mules, so I wanted something that featured ginger beer.
I actually came across this recipe on one of my favorite blogs to read regularly – Brunch on Chestnut! I just switched out the gin for vodka and it worked perfectly!
Fall Apple Cider Spritz
2 Ounces of Vodka (I used Black Box Spirits Vodka)
.75 ounces of fresh squeezed lemon juice
4 ounces of apple juice or apple cider
4 ounces of chilled ginger beer
1 apple (garnish)
ground nutmeg (garnish)
Recipe makes two servings.
