I’m so excited to share my recent partnership with Capital One with you! You might have seen some of my posts on Instagram already teasing at all the amazing perks Capital One has for their cardholders. I know firsthand how daunting the decision of who to bank with is these days, there are so many options to choose from. So hopefully today’s post will help you get to know Capital One better! They are truly leaving their mark on the banking industry and I’m honored they chose me to help spread the word here in D.C.

Capital One’s newest venture was the opening of their Captial One Cafes all over the country (We now have one here in D.C.!) I’ve visited the Cafe in Chinatown a few times now (Get a glimpse of the recent event I attended with Bryce Vine here). I highly recommend checking one out even if you’re not a Capital One cardholder! In the heavily digital world that we live in today, the Capital One cafes are designed to be a place where the digital world and physical worlds collide.

As a self-employed business owner, finances have never been my strong suit. If you’re like me, then you will love learning how Capital One is helping customers solve their money problems and reach their financial goals at the café’s. They’ve become a place where people can recharge their bank accounts, devices and lives all while learning new ways to manage their finances, for example:

Money Coaching – a complimentary [three-session] program designed to connect your values to your money, get your money under control, plan a path for your future financial goals, and the confidence to make it happen It’s like life coaching, but for your finances.

Money Workshops – are a series of complimentary, 1-2 hours long sessions offered at the cafes on topics like “How to Talk Money with Your Honey”, “How to Make Your Golden Years Shine Bright”, “Wise Wedding Planning” and more.

The Capital One Cafes have created a more straight-forward banking experience that feels natural and leaves people feeling empowered and confident about their relationship with money. Plus, both services are available for anyone to use, whether you’re a Capital One customer or not. How amazing is that? When you walk into a cafe, immediately you’ll get a feel for this redesigned way of banking. I love that it allows you to have the option of a human connection when you really need one, because I think we all need one from time to time. But also, it’s just a fun, cozy place where you can simply go to grab a cup of coffee or get a pastry in between meetings. And, at the cafe in D.C., Capital One cardholders get 50% off Pete’s Coffee drinks!

But the perks don’t just stop at the cafes! Here in D.C., just down the street from the cafe, cardholder benefits come in handy big time at the Capital One Arena as well. I was lucky enough to able to attend a Washington Capitals game last week, courtesy of Capital One, and experience some of them first hand! It was my first Caps game, and my first hockey game, and I already want to go back to another one! I was Capital One’s honorary guest and even got to ride on the Olympia (Zamboni) and make an appearance on the big screen. How fun!?! I won’t be going back without my Capital One card though, here’s why:

• VIP cardholder entrance for Washington Capitals and Wizards games, located on 6th Street
• 1-Year Free Monumental Sports Network VIP Membership – Live and On Demand Games, Exclusive Shows and VIP Events
• 10% Discounts on regular season ticket purchases
• 10% discount on food from permanent concession stands at Capital One Arena
• 20% discount on all retail transactions at Arena Team Store and retail stands (must show Capital One Credit/Debit Card)
• 50% discount on one pre-selected item per game at the Arena Team Store for all team home games (must be present at game and follow redemption instructions)
