SkinCeuticals New Glycolic 10 Renew Overnight

A few weeks ago I had the chance to attend a lunch with some other beauty influencers and one of my favorite skincare brands, SkinCeuticals! Lunch was at the gorgeous Kinship restaurant downtown, where we got to preview their newest product Glycolic 10 Renew Overnight. After lunch also got the chance to join the brand in attending The American Academy of Dermatology (AAD) conference here in DC. You guys know I’m skincare obsessed so when I received this exclusive invite!

Since the event, I’ve been testing out Glycolic 10 Renew Overnight product by applying it 2-3 times a week at night. Two weeks later, my skin is noticeably brighter and my smile lines do not appear as deep! Continue reading to see photos from the event and learn more about how exactly Glycolic 10 Renew Overnight works and why I think it’s worth investing in.

Lunch with SkinCeuticals

I walked into lunch and quickly realized my seating assignment was a good one – Right next special guest Dr. Smith-Phillips from Mount Pleasant Dermatology. Nothing like a good seating assignment, right? She’s not only an expert in skincare but, since she’s an exclusive partner of SkinCeuticals, she’s an expert on the brand as well. Over lunch we talked about our love of Charleston, SC and I got all the key details on this new and exciting product launch.

She explained that Glycolic 10 Renew Overnight is an overnight skin-refining and exfoliating product. Exfoliation is so important for brighter, younger looking skin (Which is what we all want) and a chemical exfoliant, like AHA, is the best way to do it. I’ve struggled with acne and fine lines since my early 20’s, so glycolic acid has been my BFF. I always say it gives me back “my 16-year old skin.” I was so impressed by the before and after’s she showed us of women who had used this product, I couldn’t wait to get home and start using it.

After lunch, we all walked over to the Washington Convention Center for The American Academy of Dermatology (AAD) conference. SkinCeuticals had a booth, and getting to meet the team was super exciting. We also got to see SkinCeutical’s’ new and innovative Custom D.O.S.E compounding machine in action. Optimal pH + True Acid Value

Here’s the thing, not all skincare is created equal. That’s why it’s so important to understand exactly what ingredients are in the products you’re using (and buying), and how much of them is actually in it. Concentration of an ingredient directly correlates with efficacy. You’d be surprised at what some brands can get away with. I’ve been a user and advocate for the SkinCeuticals brand for years now because all of their products are heavily scientifically backed so you know that they actually work.

8-12% pH (true acid value) is ideal for glycolic acid for proper levels of exfoliation (with minimal irritation to the skin). Glycolic 10 Renew Overnight is formulated with a true acid value of 10% glycolic acid, at the optimal pH and concentration level. Also, studies showed that the mean cell turnover when using this product was 3 days sooner than untreated skin. New skin 3 days sooner than normal? Amazing!

Like I said before I started using the Glycolic 10 Renew Overnight 2-3 nights a week but if you have sensitive skin or haven’t used glycolic products before I’d start with just 1-2 times a week. And you only need a dime sized amount to see results, which I love. Just one bottle should last you at least up to 12 weeks!

If you decide to give Glycolic 10 Renew Overnight a try, and you should, let me know what you think of it! It works wonders for anyone with acne, for preventative care for those who don’t have as many skincare needs, as well as for adolescents with signs of aging. As always, if you have any questions about this product or SkinCeuticals, don’t hesitate to reach out!

Special thanks to SkinCeuticals for sponsoring this post.
