It only took me two years to decide on what I wanted but I am completely obsessed with how my engagement ring turned out. After sharing that little tidbit of information with you guys, I quickly learned I wasn’t the only crazy indecisive person out there. When it comes to picking out an engagement ring, we clearly need all the inspo we can get. So I thought it would be fun to share some of my favorite ring accounts on Instagram (including the ONE IMAGE that set the tone for my entire vision).
Firstly, I used the Save function on Instagram and created a “Ring” folder to archive all of the rings I thought I liked. It was great to have this to refer back to – I realized a lot of the styles I liked one day, I didn’t like the next. This helped me narrow things down A LOT. I was able to see what stood the test of time and that’s ultimately how I decided on my ring design: A round, solitaire diamond set in yellow gold.
Even if you’re not getting engaged, or you’re already married, these accounts are so fun to follow either way! I mean, who doesn’t love to look at sparkly diamonds all day? Literally no one. Well, maybe Wes. 😉
Ring Concierge
First up is Ring Concierge! Based in New York City, I love Nicole’s (Founder), style. It’s still pretty classic, but with a twist. She also introduced me into the old mine diamonds, which I think are gorgeous and I seriously considered at the last minute. She seems to find super rare and beautiful diamonds, so be sure to follow her on stories to get first dibs. Ring Concierge also has an awesome selection of bands, that are actually pretty affordable and fun for stacking. Her trademark though is probably the “whisper thin” band. I asked for a very thin band, but it’s still not as thin as her signature style.
LaurenB Jewelry
Also in New York City, LaurenB Jewelry is a long-time trusted jeweler and their Instagram account is great for being able to see and compare different sizes and shapes next to one another. Of course, I always recommend trying them on to see what you like on your own hand, but I found her account to be super helpful in comparing carat sizes. And they seem to have a HUGE selection.
Consider the Wldflwrs
Consider the Wldflwrs is a family owned business in Nashville, TN. This brand has more of a vintage vibe to their designs and that felt very “me.” I love their unique bands, they have super intricate designs and elegant settings. You can tell they pour a lot of love and attention into their pieces. I would die to visit their showroom in person.
Natalie Marie Jewellery
And last, but certainly not least, Natalie Marie Jewellery, based in Sydney, Australia. THIS is the photo is where it all began – When I realized that I didn’t have to be super traditional with my engagement ring and I got really excited about that. I’ve always wanted to make sure I could inject my own personal style into my engagement ring, and I love the idea of a bunch of bands stacked. All of her rings are handmade and I can’t wait to start building my stack inspired by her designs! I just saw she is hosting a trunk show in NYC this September, and guess who else just happens to be in town that weekend… (Hint: His name starts with a “W”).
I can’t wait to take you guys along the rest of my wedding planning journey! I have a lot of fun stuff planned already. If you have any other ring related questions, feel free to DM me anytime.
In case you missed the proposal story, you can read it here!
Loving this post and the rings!
