It’s no secret I love Everlane. It all started when I tried on a pair of there jeans, the Cheeky ’90’s jean to be exact which is under $100, and they fit me like a glove. Then I tried out some of their other basics, like tees, knitwear and even shoes, and quickly became a loyal fan. That’s why I’m so excited to be partnering with Everlane today to tell you all about their new sustainable outerwear collection.
Because ~ How AMAZING is this coat?!
Made with both 100% recycled shell and 100% recycled down filling, these puffer coats are both environmentally and cruelty conscious. So gross to think about but, a lot of down is produced using cruel live-plucking practices. YUCK.
That being said, I’ve tried on so many puffer/down coats and they’re always so heavy – Ugh – Heavy coats are usually a no-go for me because of the simple fact that I’m definitely not strong enough to be carrying any extra weight around. So besides being recycled, these puffers are also supposed to be extra lightweight. And, let me tell you, they live up to that promise (without sacrificing any warmth)!
As seen above, I’m wearing the Sleeping Bag Puffer which hits right at the mid-calf, and is perfect for those days you’re going to be outside for a long time. I love wearing it to walk the dogs, especially because of how light it is. Then there’s also the Puffy Puff, a shorter version, perfect for just everyday wear if you don’t want to wear a sleeping bag (But I’m not sure why you wouldn’t). I wear a size small in both, but could also probably fit a medium for an over-sized look.
The Sleeping Bag comes in 3 different colors and the Puffy Puff comes in 4:
The ReNew collection was inspired by Everlane’s mission to reduce plastic waste and their commitment to not creating any new plastic waste in their entire supply chain by 2021. That’s why the ReNew collection, featuring 6 insanely warm puffer coats, 4 soft fleece pullovers, and 3 durable parka jackets, is made entirely from recycled plastic bottles. Can we just take a minute to let that soak in? Amazing.
Whether you’re trying to be more environmentally conscious, or just looking for some really quality, affordable pieces to work into your wardrobe, be sure to check out the full Everlane site. Their entire shopping experience is one that I’ve always enjoyed. I know you’re going to love their stuff as much as I do!
Special thanks to Everlane for partnering with me on this post, all opinions are my own.
