Recently, I had run out of a few favorite skincare products, while simultaneously being introduced to some new ones that matched up with my skin concerns. Of course, as I prep for my wedding, skincare is a top priority for me more than ever. And because you’ll be seeing me use these products regularly in future skincare videos, I thought I would do a formal introduction to what each of them are, where to buy them, and my formal review. There are some really great products in this list for dry skin, acne, and lightening dark spots and I have been using all of these pretty much daily.
If you want to see what other skincare I have used and loved, check out my Skincare Shop page here!
+ Peter Thomas Roth Vital-E Eye Microbiome Cream
“An anti-pollution, anti-blue light, and anti-aging eye cream that visibly helps improve the skin barrier to support your skin’s natural microbiome.”
I’m big on texture when it comes to eye creams. My eye area is super sensitive too. I prefer something on the thicker side, that almost feels like it’s actually filling in my fine lines. This one is definitely-Natalie approved so far. The texture is thick at first and then it melts right into your skin leaving the skin feeling really soft and smooth.
+ Peter Thomas Roth Potent-C Targeted Spot Brightener
“A potent dark spot treatment powered by vitamin C, vitamin E, ferulic acid, and advanced skin brightening actives.”
Can you tell I’m a fan of this brand? His stuff usually works well for me, so I’m always open to trying new products. I have some sun spots and acne scars on my cheeks so I’m hoping this brightening treatment will help lighten them up a bit. It’s formulated with THD ascorbate, which is supposed to be 50 times more powerful than traditional vitamin C. I’ve been applying it twice daily.
+ iS Clinical Pro-Heal Serum
“This antioxidant-rich serum combines time released vitamin C with a blend of botanicals to treat acne, rosacea, contact dermatitis and even insect bites.”
I switched out my usual Vitamin C for this one after a facialist recommended it to me. She promised it was even better than the one I was using before, which was really good. What I love about this serum is it’s dual purpose – You get the antioxidants from the vitamins but it’s also helps to control and minimize breakouts. I’ve been using it for over a week and no new breakouts so far and my skin looks super bright! It’s a bit pricey, but it should last you a while and, to me, vitamin c has been the biggest game changer for my skin. If you purchase it on this site you could find a promo code to use or wait until they have a sale.
+ Erborian Milk & Peel Balm
“erborian’s Milk & Peel Balm is a daily cleansing and exfoliating oil-in-balm for flawless-looking skin in just one step.”
I LOVE this stuff. I was already a huge fan of the brand and being that I only use oil cleansers now, so I was so excited to try this cleansing product. Not only does it remove all of the makeup and dirt from the day and leave my skin feeling super clean, it also has that “peel” effect, revealing newer, younger skin by getting rid of that top layer of old, dead skin, which I love. If the word “peel” scares you (which it shouldn’t) not to worry, it’s formulated with sesame milk to heal and calm the skin too.
+ Caudalie Purifying Toner
“A pore-diminishing toner powered by 100 percent natural salicylic acid to control oil and diminish the appearance of future blackheads and breakouts.”
I haven’t used toner in a while and after a week of using this toner I realized that was a big mistake. My skin has never felt and looked so clean and felt so decongested! I wash my face with the cleansing balm and then go over it with this toner on a cotton pad. You will probably be shocked at how much dirt is still left over (even after a double-cleanse!). Toner is the best way to get your skin super clean and help all of your other skincare work better. I’m a big fan of Caudalie products because of their natural but powerful ingredients.
+ Herbivore Bakuhchiol Retinol Alternative
“A 100 percent natural, plant-based retinol alternative serum that smooths the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.”
I don’t think anything’s going to work as well as retinol itself but if your pregnant or just scared of retinol, this product is for you. I’ve been using it for a few months and I love the consistency. It’s a bit on the thicker side for a serum and it makes my skin feel super bouncy. My fine lines look smaller and it just feels all around amazing. I would actually compare this product to a hyaluronic acid more than a retinol but I love it either way!
+ Youth to the People Adaptogen Sooth + Hydrate Activated Mist
“An ultra-fine mist that hydrates, calms visible redness, and evens the look of skin tone with antioxidant-rich adaptogens, hyaluronic acid, and soothing peptides—like a serum in a mist.”
I recently received a few products from this brand and, when I shared about it, so many of you said you were big fans! When I get that many responses from people I have to assume it’s good so I’ve been using this mist daily. I love a mist, I keep one on hand at all times. I’ve been using it as the last step in my skincare routine for an extra boost of hydration. If you’re not big on a whole skincare routine, this mist would be a super easy and effective way to combat multiple skin problems all at once.
