Basic Button-Down

Natalie Outfits Uncategorized

A collared, button-down shirt has easily been the most versatile piece of my wardrobe to date. My newest J.Crew, button-downs, a plain white and this one, have been on major repeat as we transition to fall. And when I say “repeat,” I literally mean I wear them 2-4 times a week. And, for fall, I’m really craving the Collection Boy Shirt in Beaded Chambray.

As a working girl who loves to go out for a bit after hours and these shirts have been just right for those days when I do. They can be prim and proper or a little unbuttoned and untucked, just like me. If you’re looking for more ways to style and wear your button-downs, check back in with The Fashionably Broke over the new few weeks for more outfit inspiration, as we have plenty more looks coming your way.

Side note from your editors: Recently Erika and Natalie were given a grand tour of the new J.Crew store in Georgetown (located on M Street). The large space and boutique style layout really makes for the most enjoyable experience. The new location is fully equipped with divided men’s and women’s shops, a full bridal suite, personal shoppers, ample fitting rooms, as well as exclusive J.Crew styles from the Cashmere Shop and J.Crew Collection. If you are in the DC/MD/VA area, we encourage you to pay them a visit! All woven tops and sweaters are 25% off right now with the code “FALLSTYLE.”
