My (Updated) Everyday Makeup Routine

Beauty

I’m a creature of habit and, while I’m always testing out new products, my makeup routine stays about the same. I’m fairly picky about products and when I find something I love, that works, I’m loyal to it.

Since it’s been a while since I last shared my everyday makeup routine, I thought I would share an updated list of everything I’m using and loving. Let me know if you have any questions, but hopefully this helps. Let me know if you try any of these products too! I’d love to hear which ones you’re loving too.

My Everyday Makeup Routine:

Foundation

I use the Erborian CC Cream on my face on days when I’m not going to wear a ton of makeup. It evens out your complexion, with light coverage, and contains SPF (making it a great product to end your skincare routine with). On days when I want more coverage I’ve been using the NARS Natural Radiant Longwear Foundation (in “Punjab”) that I apply with a wet Beauty Blender.

Concealer

I alternate between the Erborian Touch Pen Concealer or the Glossier Stretch Concealer (in Medium). They both feel great on your skin and provide great coverage for dark circles or any other imperfections that you might want to cover. I’ve also found that these don’t leave any creasing under your eyes, the formula is really lightweight and blends nicely into your skin.

Bronzer

I’m such a fan of cream bronzer. Right now I’m using the MILK Makeup Bronzing Stick in the shade “Baked.” It’s matte and looks great on a lot of different skin tones. I also love the Chanel Soleil de Tan but I’ve found that one to have more orange/golden undertones and sometimes I don’t want that. No matter which one I’m using I’ll use a Beauty Blender to blend it out or, even better, the Real Techniques Sculpting Brush.

Blush

I LOVE blush these days! I used to be more of a bronzer girl, but something switched in me the last year or so. I think blush just makes you look alive and, I don’t know how else to describe it but, pretty! I have a ton of favorite blushes (which I’ll share in another post) but the one I seem to reach for most these days is Urban Decay’s Afterglow 8-Hour Blush in the color “Fetish.” The mauve tone makes you look tan and it’s a super natural looking blush. One of my favorite blush brushes is this one by Eco Tools.

Highlighter

I also loveeee me some highlighter! A favorite that’s stood the test of time is Dior Nude Luminizer Shimmering Glow Powder in the shade 03. The color is just the perfect shade and it really pops on your skin without looking cake-y. And I put that sh*t everywhere; Cheekbones, under the brow, cupid’s bow, & the bridge of the nose! My favorite highlighter brush is also by Eco Tools.

Eye Shadow

Using a fluffy eyeshadow brush I like to apply some shade of taupe to my crease to add definition to the eye to make them pop. This NARS Skin Deep Eyeshadow Pallet is a recent favorite of mine because all of the colors are really classic and easy to use. It also has metallic shades and matte shades in one which is great.

Brows

A little trick of mine is to use an eye shadow and an angled brush to fill in your brows. It just looks a little more natural! I usually go for something taupe-brown, like the NARS Skin Deep Pallet has. To set the brows and hold them in place, I love the Benefit Gimme Brow Brow Gel #3.

Eyeliner

I honestly wish I didn’t even have to wear eyeliner. I find it to be an inconvenience to apply. But I’ve found if I don’t wear it my makeup looks incomplete and my eyes don’t pop as much. So I just use that same angled brush and same shadow pallet and apply a dark brown shade to the outer corners of my eyes ( both on the top and bottom). This works great for me, especially during the week when I don’t have a ton of time in the mornings.

Mascara

The Glossier Lash Slick is my go-to! I don’t know how I lived without it before. It applies so smoothly, glides right on, doesn’t clump AT ALL, and looks really natural looking. Then, if I want more of a pop, I’ll add NARS Climax Mascara or L’Oreal’s Lash Paradise on top.

Lips

I switch my lip color a lot (because why not?) but some recent go-to’s are:

Charlotte Tilbury Lipstick in “Penelope Pink” (A nude with the slightest pink hue)
NARS Full Vinyl Lip Lacquer in “Santo Domingo” (For when I want a brighter pink, this one last’s forever)
NARS Velvet Matte Lip Pencil in “Dolce Vita” (Easy to apply and looks the most like the natural color of my lips)

We use the same foundation shade! Snap! I love Nars so much! And am just about to hit publish on a similar beauty update. Same goes, I try things, but go back to the usual suspects most times. 🙂
