My Bedding Details + Duvet Suggestions

Home Lifestyle

Since we’re getting ready to move (Ahhh – more to come on that soon), I thought it would be fun to document our house here on my blog. We’ve lived in this house since 2012! It was our first real home together. I’ve always complained about so many things about it, it’s not big enough, it doesn’t get enough light, so many stairs… But now that we’re leaving, I feel like I’ll be leaving a little bit of my heart behind with it. I know, I know. On to bigger and better things (literally and figuratively, ha ha)! But I’ll still miss it and it was really starting to feel extra cozy these days.

My bedroom is probably my favorite room in our home! So here’s all the details on my bed and my bedding, let me know if you have any questions! I’ll do the living room next. 🙂 And, be sure to scroll to the bottom of this post for the top duvet insert rec’s I received on Instagram!

Headboard: Wayfair (fyi, it doesn’t fit on my bed frame, we just attached it to the wall)

Bed Frame: Amazon

Mattress: Allswell Luxe Hybrid

Bed Skirt: West Elm (Similar option)

Sheets: Allswell Organic Percale Sheets

Duvet + Cover: Allswell Organic Percale Duvet Set *Update: We just got the Parachute Linen duvet cover and love it

Pillows: Allswell Supreme King Pillows + Parachute Medium Down Alternative Pillows

Decor Pillows: Xasmin Interiors

Quilt/Blanket: Allswell Coverlet (Protects my white bedding from the dogs!)

So – I’ve been wanting to get a new duvet insert. I love ours, if you want something on the lighter side. But I really wanted something more fluffy and hotel-like. I asked for suggestions on Instagram and the top answers were Parachute, Buffy, The Company Store, Riley, IKEA (surprisingly) and Amazon. One of my favorite interior bloggers to follow, Chris Loves Julia, recommends this one but it’s sold out in the king size. But is it crazy that I’m literally debating ordering them all? I feel like I NEED to get to the bottom of this once and for all. Let me know your honest thoughts because I might be down to take one for the team. It would make for some interesting Instagram content though, let’s be real!

Also! Another (interior decorator) follower gave me coolest tip too I thought that I’d share: Get 2 “cheaper” inserts to get an extra fluffy look. Genius! Right? Let me know if you’ve tried that too.
